Ben Murray has been making our Barossa Shiraz now for a decade, typically harvesting from the Neldner Vineyards of Marananga.

The area of Marananga is superb for growing Shiraz, with deep rich soils interspersed with limestone shelves in the famed western sub region of the Barossa Valley.

The 2020 vintage was noted by the harsh growing season at the end of a three-year drought. Yields were below average, but the growing conditions had a marked effect on the ripening of the grapes and resulted in the development of a powerful wine.

"Shiraz sourced from the Western Barossa and Marananga, this wine truly expresses its sub-regional heart. Dark, brooding fruits, including black plum and blackcurrant, enveloped in a blanket of appropriate, well-handled, quality, cedary oak. The wine is full-bodied with excellent concentration and toothsome tannin frame.
