Cantine Buglioni - Verona, Veneto

The Buglioni family has a long history in Verona, originally in the fashion industry. In the early 1990's the family bought a new home outside of Verona that came with 3.5 ha of vineyards. At the time the wine industry was depressed and the family gave the grapes away.

Some years later they decided to make use of the bounty at their front door and employed the dux of the local Oenology Institute, Diego Bertoni, to make wine. Fifteen years later the family now has 46ha of vineyards and has departed the fashion industry. Diego remains the winemaker and the company is a leader in the Valpolicella region. They also have established 3 restaurants that exclusively feature their wines.
