This dozen was the brain child of a mate who was sick of being caught short of a quality wine to take when going to "connoissuer" client or mates home. He wanted some quality in the cellar that he could rely upon. So we have brought out the big guns. Two bottles each of the following :-
- Le Bambole - single vineyard, rare "Gran Selezione" sangiovese from Tuscany
- Il Lussorioso- Amarone Riserva, the king of wines from Valpolicella.
- Chianti Riserva - best Chianti Classico from a great vintage with 6 years bottle age.
- Barbera D"Asti - old school Barbera with lashings of fruit and 6 years bottle age.
- Barossa Shiraz - Grange Vineyard, best French oak, miniscule quantity. Stellar.
- Anima - Grenache 50 year old dry grown single vineyard, best French oak.
The last 3 wines I have in such limited quantities that I don't even advertise them on the website. These are all excellent wines that you can happily pull out at any dinner party.
Retail value is $752/dozen. We are going to put out for Christmas at $649 dozen. $100 off per case for the best wines that I have!
